Year End Project

2012 is almost over – It’s been such a cool year! We launched our first monthly project in June and because of your amazing generosity here is what we’ve accomplished together since then.

We have:

  • Fed 120 refugee families for 2 weeks
  • Provided hundreds of boxes of macaroni & cheese, shampoo and peanut butter to a food bank
  • Gave a week’s worth of groceries to 25 girls that have come out of sexual exploitation
  • Provided a hot meal to 250 needy people on a cold night in Atlanta
  • Gave 25 backpacks of food to homeless high school students

We also launched our first Community Compassion Project! Through partnering with Hungry For a Day, the Momentum Church (Gulf Breeze, FL) congregation gave 55 complete Thanksgiving meals and an additional 155 turkeys to needing families in their community!

Such an amazing 6 months! Our dream was to look back at the end of the year and see that we made a difference in people’s lives.  We can confidently say that you have helped us do that – and more!

Year End Project:

Because of people that generously support H4AD as an organization – we were able to give over 95% of donations directly to hungry people.  We want to continue to give at least that much.  To do that, we need your help.  Just as you’ve given to hungry people this year, we need people to give to H4AD this month for our operational expenses.

We don’t have a lot of expenses since we don’t pay salaries.  Our expenses include: P.O. Box, letterhead, postage, web hosting, marketing collateral, accounting, etc.  Our annual budget is $2,400.

We are asking you to help us with these costs so we can be focused in 2013 helping those in need.

What’s next for 2013?

More awesome projects!!!

We also have 2 more churches who have asked us to organize Community Compassion Projects:  one in Boston and the other in Detroit.  Let us know if you are interested in organizing one with your church, business, fraternity, neighborhood or other group!

Thank you for continued support of Hungry For A Day.  Thank you for providing hope to so many hurting people!

You can give online or if you prefer the old fashioned way, mail us a check!
