Thanksgiving 2018 (It’s finally here!)
Thanksgiving Day is quickly approaching, and it’s our biggest undertaking of the year!
If you’re like most of our community of generosity, you’re thinking about who you’ll be inviting over for Thanksgiving Day, who will be cooking the turkey and whether you’ll be eating pumpkin or apple pie.
Having a hot meal on Thanksgiving is a luxury most of us take for granted, but we always like to take a moment at this time of year to think of others who don’t have that privilege because of bigger concerns they have looming ahead of them. Will I be able to pay the rent? Will I be able to keep the electricity on? Is my car going to keep running? Will I have money for gas, rent, and groceries?
Just like we’ve done for the last 6 years, we want to consider those in our community who are in need, and provide as many as possible with a Thanksgiving meal.
In 2017, we had an army of corporate partners, faith partners, nonprofits, and individuals from 26 states who dug deep and gave enough for us to provide 22,362 people the same meal that we eat. We fed people from Michigan to Florida, and from D.C. to California.
Turkey or ham, all the sides and even pumpkin pie!
In 2018, we have a plan, and we need everyone in our community to help. We want to do even more this year and feed 25,000 people a Thanksgiving dinner.
For only $35, you can provide a family of 4 a complete meal and bring hope to someone in need.
