2013 was an incredible year for Hungry For A Day and we’re ready to jump right into 2014!

Our January project will help our friends at Seven Bridges. We’ve helped them a couple of times in the past and we really love what they are doing. Just outside of Atlanta, over 100 women and children live in an old church that has been converted to a shelter.

Some of these families have been homeless and others have escaped from an abusive home life. Each one of them has committed to spending a year in a program of spiritual renewal and getting back on their feet.

The only way these women and children are fed is groups, organizations & individuals donate food. People are always donating canned goods & bread items, but they always have a need for protein.

We’re going to be providing them with meat! Hamburger, sausage and chicken! Basic items that we just throw in our shopping cart are desperately needed!

We did a quick shopping trip and found out we can buy 5 lbs of hamburger, a pound of sausage and 2 pounds of chicken for $24. $48 provides 16 lbs of meat and $120 will give them 40 lbs. of meat.

For what you’ll spend on food today, you can probably feed a couple of hurting families.
Let’s all get involved in this project!
