Compassion Kit Distribution a Success!
Every February we designate the calendar month as “Love Month” at Hungry For A Day. This year, like the last, we did a campaign push to raise funds to put together Compassion Kits for the homeless of Northwest Florida. Because of your generosity, we had 19 volunteers come out to distribute over 50 kits to the homeless! It was another successful month of showing love to those that need it most.
The distribution teams were enthusiastic as they met at different times to go out on the various street corners, overpasses, and homeless camps to drop off the boxes. The boxes contained two full meals, a bottle of water, snacks, a fresh pair of socks, and toiletry items. Most importantly, the needy folks were given a dose of love, a moment of friendship, and a prayer to help guide their lives.
