Shampoo     Peanut Butter     Macaroni and Cheese

What do these things have in common?

Each week, The Pantry feeds between 650 and 800 people.  Amazing!  Canned goods, fresh bread, and other food staples are provided, but it seems they’re always running short on shampoo, peanut butter, and macaroni & cheese.

When someone is unemployed, and not sure how they’ll pay their rent or car payment, food assistance goes a long way.
Imagine having to choose between paying rent and cooling your house on a 100 degree summer day or feeding your child and purchasing needed toiletries. This is where The Pantry assists the most.

What’s the plan for this month?  To give them piles and piles of shampoo, peanut butter & macaroni and cheese.

How can you help?

1) Donate! Go hungry and Give what you would have spent on food so others can eat in your place (or simply donate). Go to h4ad.com/go-hungry to give. Proceeds will go toward the purchase of these products.

2) Collect these three items. Set up a donation station or maybe just a laundry basket at your office, church, school classroom. Email your community and ask them to bring in these needed items. They may not go hungry, but they may be willing to bring in some jars of peanut butter or a few cases of macaroni & cheese. If you’re in the Atlanta or Pensacola area we’ll come pick up your donations near the end of August.  (Email david@h4ad.com to start a drive and schedule a pick up)  If you prefer to drop off the items yourself,  you can do so on Thursdays from 8:30 – 10:00 am or Saturdays from 7:30 am – 11:30 am.

3) Volunteer. The Pantry needs 50 people every Saturday to help distribute food. They’re in Douglasville, Georgia. If you’re in the Atlanta area, it’s an amazing experience you just won’t forget.  Simply show up at 8 a.m. any Saturday at 5960 Stewart Parkway in Douglasville and tell them you’re ready to help!

Let’s show some hurting people love this month!
