Alive! Expo Update
We wanted to send a quick update on the Alive! Expo that we exhibited at last weekend. We made some connections at the Food Truck Park Grand Opening that asked us to come out the expo.
What is the Alive! Expo? It’s the largest exhibition in the Southeast on organic & natural food. Tens of thousands of people walked through the exposition hall at the Georgia World Congress Center in downtown Atlanta. It really made sense to talk about hunger issues to people who are passionate about the food that they eat.
Results? We handed out thousands of flyers that explained what Hungry For A Day was all about. We sold a pile of t-shirts and collected some funds to fight hunger!
We made some really cool connections over the two days that we were there. We talked to school teachers that wanted to raise awareness of hunger causes in their classrooms, as well as church groups and businesses who wanted to partner with us to start some type of community involvement.
If you’re a group like one of these that wants to partner with Hungry For A Day to raise awareness towards and funds for a great cause, reach out to us at email@example.com and we’ll contact you to tell you about some of the programs that we’re putting together.
We couldn’t have done it without our incredible volunteers! A huge thanks to Cherie, Dee-Dee, Justin & Brittany!!! My favorite story from the weekend had to be Brittany. She graduated on Saturday from the University of West Georgia (congrats!!), then spent all day on Sunday helping spread the word about Hungry For A Day. How cool is that?!?!
